Concert Production

What does concert production involve?

Concert production covers the full technical build for a live music event: large-format sound that carries over a crowd, a stage rated for performers, instruments and heavy equipment, outdoor-rated LED and lighting, crowd barriers for safety, and power that will not fail mid-performance. Eagles AV builds all of this as one coordinated system, not separate rentals bolted together on the day.

A concert is not a conference with music instead of speeches. The scale, the crowd behaviour, the outdoor conditions, and the stakes of a failure are all different. A dead microphone at a seminar is awkward. A sound system that cuts out mid-set, in front of thousands of people, is a very different kind of problem. We build concerts to withstand that pressure.

What's included in Eagles AV concert production

Concert production draws on the same owned-equipment, in-house crew model behind everything we do, see how we work for the full picture.

Outdoor LED and lighting

Daytime outdoor concerts wash out indoor-spec LED and lighting fast. Concert production uses high-brightness, weatherproofed outdoor LED walls that stay readable in direct sunlight, and moving-head lighting rigged to survive wind and weather while still delivering the energy a concert crowd expects. See our LED screen hire guide for outdoor brightness specs, and our lighting services for how we programme moving heads for live performance energy rather than a static conference wash.

Crowd safety and barriers

Concerts bring crowd dynamics that conferences never see, people standing, pushing toward the stage, moving as one body during high-energy moments. Barriers in front of the stage and along key crowd flow points are not optional at scale, they protect both your performers and your audience, and they are something venues and county authorities will expect to see planned for.

We plan barrier placement as part of the site survey, alongside stage and crowd flow, so it is built into the production from the start rather than added as an afterthought.

Power that cannot fail mid-set

A power interruption at a conference is an inconvenience. A power interruption during a concert, in front of a crowd, mid-performance, is a serious production failure and a real safety concern if lighting or exits are affected. Concerts need layered power redundancy: generators, UPS backup for critical systems, and a plan for switching over without the audience noticing. This is exactly what our event backup solutions are built for, and it is treated as core to concert production, not an add-on.

“From concept to execution, Eagles AV handled our hybrid conference flawlessly. Both our in-person and virtual attendees had an amazing experience. Their 6 years of expertise really shows.”

Permits and compliance, a quick note

Outdoor concerts in Kenya typically need a county government event permit, a NEMA noise permit if amplified sound is involved, and police clearance for crowd management, with music licensing (MCSK, KAMP, PRISK) usually required separately. These are the organiser’s responsibility to secure, not something a production company obtains on your behalf, but we build our technical timeline around the approvals you need, including realistic sound level planning, so your production does not run into last-minute compliance problems. Start the permit process early, most county applications need to go in well ahead of the event date.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Question

What does concert production include?

Large-format sound, a concert-rated stage, outdoor LED and lighting, crowd barrier planning, layered power backup, rigging, and a full crew with show direction on the day.

Concert sound needs to cover a large, often open-air crowd evenly, carrying at the back without distorting at the front, which requires line-array systems, multiple subwoofers, and a live mix engineer, scaled well beyond a typical conference PA.

Yes. We calculate the load for the specific performers and equipment, a band, drum riser, amplifiers, monitors, and rate the stage accordingly.

Permits are the organiser’s responsibility, typically a county event permit, a NEMA noise permit, police clearance, and music licensing. We build our technical production plan around your approvals so timelines and sound levels stay compliant.

We plan layered backup, generator and UPS, specifically so a power interruption does not stop the show or affect safety-critical systems like lighting near exits.

Yes, across Kenya, with full equipment transport and on-site crew.
